Which is usually an indicator of an inexperienced windows software developer that has not gotten to grips with windows application security layers and data files correct locations.
I tried dragging and dropping PDF some PDFs I made with restriced rights and the program stripped the restrictions imediatly and wrote out an unrestricted copy of the PDF files then opened the output folder. I then tried it with a PDF with user password protection and supplied the correct password and it removed the encryption and other owner restrictions and wrote out a a completely unprotected copy of the file.
I also tried downloading the portable zip file from their website and extracted it to a folder and executed it and it apears to use the locally stored registration data from the installed build of the program. So it *probably* needs to activated on every machine it is moved around to.
BUT the portable build will not accept the giveaway license code, reporting it is invalid... yet if one activates the giveaway build on the same machine the portable build accepts the stored registration data. So the portable build does not activate the license in a portable manner.
The ease it removes restrictions on a PDF as well as strips off encryption if you know the password means I will keep this as tool that might be used once in a while.
